Big 12 Announces Partnership with Cracked Racquets

The Big 12 Conference and Cracked Racquets have announced a partnership to increase the coverage of collegiate tennis throughout league play for the Conference’s members.

The media outlet will produce Big 12 league matches for at least 20 men’s and women’s programs for the 2024 spring season through broadcasts, podcasts and video coverage across multiple social media platforms. All matches will be exclusively available on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

Cracked Racquets will produce CrossCourt Cast shows covering the Big 12 conference every Friday and Sunday, beginning March 1 through April 14, and every Thursday March 7 – April 11, and Saturday, April 13.

In the latest ITA Division I Collegiate Tennis Rankings, seven Big 12 programs rank inside the top 25 including four on the men’s side and three on the women’s. TCU sits atop the Conference’s rankings at No. 2 after making its third consecutive trip to the Championship Match of the 2024 ITA Division I Men’s Indoor Championship, followed by Texas at No. 10, Baylor at No. 18, and Oklahoma State at No. 23. The Conference boasts five singles players ranked in the top 15 including the top two overall with Texas’ Eliot Spizzirri (No. 1) and Micah Braswell (No. 2), TCU’s Jack Pinnington (No. 8) and Jake Fearnley (No. 14), and Oklahoma State’s Tyler Zink (No. 15). Two Big 12 pairs also reside inside the top six rankings with TCU’s duo of Sebastian Gorzny and Pedro Vives at No. 5 and Texas’ duo of Spizzirri and Cleeve Harper at No. 6.

In the women’s rankings, Oklahoma State stands above the rest at No. 1 after winning the 2024 ITA Division I Women’s Indoor Championship with Texas close behind at No. 4 and Texas Tech at No. 22. Six Big 12 women’s singles players are ranked in the top 40 led by Oklahoma State’s Ange Oby Kajuru at No. 4 and Anastasiya Komar at No. 9. The Conference also claims three doubles pairings in the top seven led by Oklahoma’s Alina Shcherbinina and Dana Guzman at No. 2, Kajuru and Komar at No. 6, and Texas Tech’s duo of Metka Komac and Avelina Sayfetdinova at No. 7.
