Cracked Racquets Welcomes Eli Mercer to 2023 Intern Class

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Cracked Racquets, LLC, the leading source for all things tennis, is proud to announce the addition of Eli Mercer to its 2023 intern class.

Mercer, a freshman Division 1 college tennis player at IUPUI, is pursuing a degree in Business Management and Marketing with the ultimate goal of working in the business side of pro tennis as a tournament director.

Mercer’s love for tennis began at the age of five and he quickly found success on the court, winning over 25 USTA tournaments as a junior and four state championships with Carmel High School. He also helped lead the Indiana World Team Tennis Junior National team to a championship in 2021 and a runner-up finish in 2022.

When it comes to following tennis, Mercer’s favorite level to watch is mainly the pros and some college matches. His favorite player is Swiss tennis star, Stan Wawrinka.

“We are thrilled to officially welcome Eli to the Cracked Racquets family,” said Dalton Thieneman, Founder and CEO of Cracked Racquets. “I have known Eli for years, and his passion for tennis is evident in everything he does. It’s awesome to see this come full circle with him joining the team. We can’t wait to continue showing what Eli has done to enhance our coverage.”

Mercer’s background in tennis and passion for the sport make him a valuable addition to the Cracked Racquets team. The company looks forward to seeing his contributions to the coverage of tennis news and events throughout the year.
