USTA Billie Jean King Girls’ 16s and 18s National Championships
The United States Tennis Association (USTA) Girls’ 18 & 16 National Championships is the quintessential American junior hard court tennis tournament held in San Diego. It features amateur and professional American girls aged 16 and 18 and under, vying for the title of National Champion.
Winners receive Wild Card entries into the US Open Women’s and Junior Championships. The tournament also presents the Maureen Connolly Brinker trophy for outstanding players, promoting sportsmanship and competitive spirit. Participants are top-performing athletes endorsed by their USTA Sections, wild card recipients, or winners of Sectional Championships.
The Nationals offer exceptional competition, providing opportunities for college choices or future tennis careers. It creates an exciting and friendly atmosphere, bringing together the best young talents in American tennis.
Wild Cards to be Awarded 2023
The top finishers at The 2023 USTA National Championships will receive 2023 US Open wildcards as listed below:
- 18s Champion – US Open Main Draw and US Open Junior Main Draw
- 18s Champion – Singles qualifying draw of the $780,637 Cymbiotika San Diego Open WTA 500
- 18s Finalist – US Open Qualifying and US Open Junior Main Draw
- 18s 3rd Place – US Open Junior Main Draw
- 16s Champion – US Open Junior Main Draw
- 18s 4th & 5th Place – US Open Junior Qualifying
- 18s Doubles Champions – US Open Doubles Main Draw
